Amazon.com Product Description: From the renowned company that created the Swiss Army Knife a century ago comes the Soldier knife/multi-tool with LED Flashlight set. The useful, 7-function multi-tool knife is the official standard knife issued to the Swiss Army. The Swiss Army regards the Victorinox multi-tool as part of a soldier’s personal survival kit. This pocket knife contains 7 stainless-steel tools that will be there when you need them, but not burden you with its size when you don't. The standard tools include a large blade, can opener, small screwdriver, bottle opener with large locking screwdriver, wire stripper and reamer.
The Soldier comes partnered with the silver alox Victorinox LED AAA flashlight. This flashlight delivers the powerful, white LED beams that are up to 10 times more efficient at converting energy into light than regular incandescent lamp while still using conventional batteries. Single-point, diamond-turned optic reflectors enhance the LED lamps, which are protectively recessed in a patented stainless steel head with a high-impact polycarbonate window. The twist on/off mechanism and power control circuitry result in extended battery life and increased lumens.
As with all Victorinox items, the Soldier knife is made to exacting standards of construction in Ibach, Switzerland at the same factory that has made Swiss Army knives for the last century. Victorinox focuses on every detail--from selecting the finest materials to performing the final inspection. In addition, each individual tool has been hardened in a different way to stand up to its designated use.

About Swiss Army Knives In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener's mother, and 'inox,' or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The original product dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer's and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor for versatility.

Rating: - Great Combo at a great Price!
The Soldier knife in this set meets all the expectations of quality for Victorinox knives. The awl blade is a nice feature that will come in very handy. The flashlight, however, makes this an exceptional deal. For the price I paid, I could barely purchase this flashlight (or a comparable) separately. This is a great value pack!
Rating: - Excellent First Swiss Army Knife!!!
I've been wanting to get my first Swiss Army Knife for the past few months and just couldn't find a perfect minimalist pocket knife so I gave this a try. For the money and Amazon's pricing, you're getting a bargain and a high quality product. Fit and finish is absolutely excellent. A quick slash through paper and it went thru it like nothing so it's pretty sharp. Also there's no play(wobbling) on all the implements. And it snaps open and close with a nice forceful click to it...

Rating: - My all time fav Swiss Army Knife
I've carried Swiss Army Knives, off and on, since I was in the U.S. Army in the early 70's. The knives are well made and the blade alloy is easy to sharpen. I work the tools for a living and never has a Swiss Army knife broken on me. In recent years, I've been trying new & different knives with high performance alloys including 440C, ATS-34, ATS-55, and D2, CPM T420V, as well as damascus blades with good results. While these blade alloys are top notch, the Swiss Army Knives continues to be the ... Read More
Rating: - This is a great deal.
I had previously owned a solder knife from Victorinox and I lost it one night while out with a friend. But I stumbled upon this deal here and for a cheaper price then what Victorinox sells just the knife for on their website. As the previous knife served me well for many years I wanted to replace it, the flashlight turned out to be the real surprise.
I already knew that the knife was great, it holds an edge extremely well and you can almost get it razor sharp with a good stone. I have ... Read More
Rating: - Keeping it simple
I guess the reputation of the Victorinox Swiss Army Knife has been stellar for as long as I can remember, but I've never owned one. I couldn't be happier with it, perfect weight, nice quality feel to the blade and it seems like it will last forever. I mostly use it to cut up fruit at work, a job it performs masterfully. I make sure to clean it off every time so as to not get rotting fruit juice to make it all sticky.
The flashlight is a nice bonus, but the real value is with the knife, especially ... Read More
