Editorial Review:

Album Description:
Australian pressing of her 2007 sophomore album features 'Suddenly I See (Single Version)' as a bonus track! Drastic Fantastic is a collection of soaring Pop songs and intimate ballads. Produced by Steve Osbourne (producer of Eye To The Telescope) it sees Tunstall's considerable songwriting skills and unique vocals underpinned by a rawer musical backdrop than it's predecessor. Full of powerful lyrics, bold colorful melodies and adventurous musicianship, it's a very definite move forward for Tunstall. Pensive ballads like 'White Bird' and 'Beauty Of Uncertainty' are complimented by the infectious lead single 'Hold On', and rollicking pop gems like 'Saving My Face' and the folk-punk of 'I Don't Want You Now'. Virgin.

Average Rating: out of 5 stars

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Lousy production values. Not worth 1 star.
This cd is crap for just one reason, they mixed Tunstalls voice back into the music. So instead of voice voice being the main solo instrument as it was on Eye To The Telescope and the lyrics being an important part of the pleasure of the cd, she has been gelded. All the passion and strenght of the first cd was lost in the engineering room.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - I was surprised...
First, The release of this was a surprise. The last release had been enjoying such a long life, continuing to pick up new fans. I hope "Drastic" wasn't released too soon for K.T.'s sake, because...
Second, this is a very good release. I'm not going to compare, etc. 'cause I don't like that-each effort has its own reason for being and an artist should be respected for that. Very catchy tunes, every bit as entertaining as the previous, which I have not listened to since I bought this one (thus ... Read More
