Editorial Review:
Amazon.com Product Description: Did you know one in four Americans worry about excessive sweating? That's why there's Degree Clinical Protection. It's three times more effective than the level of wetness protection required by the FDA.
In fact, you get prescription strength wetness protection without the need for a prescription. Degree Clinical Protection is formulated with innovative TRIsolid body responsive technology, so you have peace-of-mind knowing it's working hardest when you need it most.

Degree Clinical Protection is formulated to provide clinical wetness protection without the irritation and discomfort caused by prescription anti-perspirants. Also available for women. |
Degree Clinical Protection provides prescription strength protection without a prescription. | Who is Degree Clinical Protection For? Anyone who does not want to be held back by perspiration or odor will benefit from Degree clinical protection levels.
How do I use it? For maximum protection, apply to underarms before going to bed. While resting, the TRIsolid formula acclimates to the body, forming a deep level of protection. This protection lasts throughout the following day, even after a shower. Degree Clinical Protection can also be applied in the morning. The recommended dose for each underarm is 2 clicks.
Why apply Degree Clinical Protection at night? Research shows that body temperature is not constant throughout the day and oscillates in a cycle known as the Circadian Rhythm. Under natural conditions, body temperature oscillates from a nighttime low of 97.7°F to a midday high of 98.9°F. Due to this cycle, skin is more receptive to Degree Clinical Protection while sleeping. This gives the formula time to work and build a strong level of protection for the day ahead.
How is the Degree TRIsolid formulation less irritating on skin than a prescription product? The Degree TRIsolid formulation provides clinical wetness protection without the irritation and discomfort often caused by prescription anti-perspirants. Aluminum Chloride, an acidic ingredient, and alcohols, such as ethanol, are irritating components often found in prescription anti-perspirants. Degree Clinical Protection does not contain any of these ingredients. In fact, the TRIsolid formula contains dimethicone, an advanced skincare ingredient, which is commonly found in baby care products and skin lotions.
What do I do about excess sweating? Past puberty, axillary (underarm) sweat and odor are normal body functions. Regular anti-perspirants can be effective in reducing normal levels of underarm sweating. However, some people may experience hyperhidrosis, a medical condition otherwise known as excessive sweating. Axillary hyperhidrosis can be a distressing problem and typically requires a stronger form of protection. To learn more about excessive sweating, go to www.antiperspirantsinfo.com or contact your local doctor or physician.
What is the difference between Deodorants and Anti-perspirants? Normally, body temperature is in balance i.e. the heat generated by the body is the same as the heat leaving the body. However, when more heat is generated this balance shifts and the body becomes too hot. To re-establish the heat equilibrium, the body needs to increase heat output and this is achieved by sweating. Sweating can also occur in emotional situations when a person becomes nervous or embarrassed. Anti-perspirants reduce sweat by controlling the flow of underarm perspiration and masking body odor. Deodorants, on the other hand, prevent odor by using fragrance and by reducing the levels of underarm bacteria. However, deodorants alone do not stop sweating.
Are anti-perspirants safe? Anti-perspirants have been used for more than sixty years and the overwhelming weight of evidence indicates that they are safe and effective. Unilever works with leading academic institutions around the world to advance its understanding of sweating and underarm protection to create highly effective and well tested formulations like Degree Clinical Protection. Rating: - Seemed like a good idea...
Deodorant towels seemed like something my son might like. He's always using those face cleanser towels and deodorant sprays that seem so popular with the adolescent age group. He gave this a try figuring he could use it at the gym or as a "touch-up" during the day. But he didn't like them at all. Besides saying that they didn't work, the towels, while convenient for applying, left his hands all sticky.
Rating: - Works as advertised.. When you can get it out of the dispenser
I've been using the Degree Clinical Protection Deodorant for about 6 months now. It works. It's incredible to finally have those pits dry all the time. Clearly not while working out or when you're overall sweating, but it works.
Now, the problem. I've purchased from Amazon about 3 times. In two of the three orders, the product will not dispense.. no matter how many times you twist the bottom. (Yes, the plastic is removed). Extremely frustrasting, and speaks to the manufacturers quality ... Read More
Rating: - NO GOOD
This product wasn't what it said it was..... I sweat like a pig at work and it ruined my shirts and embarassed me. I bought this over priced product, to only find out that it was a waste of money. I finally talked to my doctor and they actually have a presciption that works for excessive sweating. I use it once a week and I don't sweat any more. They Dr even told me if what they gave me didn't work, they could prescribe something else. What they gave me worked. I sweated at work for 19 years ... Read More
Rating: - Hmm. You can get the same thing much cheaper
I was tempted to try this. Found it at my local pharmacy. On a lark, checked the ingredients and saw that the active ingredient here is the exact same active ingredient, in the exact same dosage (20 percent) as the Mitchum antiperspirant I already use. Difference: This one is more than twice the price. No thanks! BTW: The Mitchum works very well. It's not what I'd consider "clinical" strength, however. Hence my search for something a bit stronger.
Rating: - as unusual as the 29th of February
Now, this is the kind of thing I never thought I'd be banging out a review of. Deodorant? Well, it's an unusual day, the 29th of February, so why not? Even though deodorant isn't something I've ever had very much interest in commenting on, this product from Degree is quite nice. I was provided a pre-market sample some time ago and have been pleasantly surprised by the clean, light scent and the `dryness' of Degree Clinical Protection. I definitely recommend it.
