The Mastech MS8205C is a professional fully featured digital multimeter. It measures AC/DC voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, temperature in both celsius and fahrenheit, diode check and etc. One unique feature of this meter is its Mechanical Protection, which prevents user from incorrect inputs. Special sliding jack protection system covers incorrect banana jacks as function is selected. Only the correct jacks are exposed to accept banana plugs as function switch is turned. Examples: When voltage, ohms or capacitance selected, the current jacks are closed/covered. When current is selected, voltage is closed/covered., when you rotate the rotary range selector, the jacks on the bottom will be open or closed according to the range you select, for example, if you select AC 200V range, V & COM jacks will be open for you to plug in you RED and BLACK leads respectively, and 10A and mA jacks will be closed. This way, you will never have to worry about plugging into the wrong socket and burn the fuse. This is a great feature if this meter is being used by non-professionals, such as students and trainees.
