I bought rick Steves backpack and it was suggested to buy these cubes. I am so glad that I did. They fit perfectly into the bag and kept everything neat. At certain airpotts the liquids need to be pulled out of the carry on bag and having a cube to just pull out without distrubing everything else made it easy and painless. Rating: - These were perfect for my backpacking trip through Europe.
I traveled for five weeks through nine countries with one relatively small backpack (an Osprey, also highly recommended) and found these packing cubes to be indispensable. There's no need to get anything more elaborate or sturdy. The great thing about these is that they are feather-light and you can SEE what's in them. Very helpful when you're living out of one bag.

These cubes worked great in the Rick Steves 21" Rolling case. Helped to keep like items together and prevented loosing things in the suitcase.
