Rating:  - doesn't perform
The conair hermacell doesn't heat hot enough to curl hair. I had one several years ago that did so I was very disappointed and didn't take the appliance on my trip. It will go in the trash!!! I gave it a one star just to answer the button but I wouldn't give it even that.

The Conair ThermaCell Compact is perfect for travel. I can curl my hair in any hotel room without carrying adapters or searching for plugs. It's so convenient, I now use it as my only curling iron.
Rating:  - Nice product but not good for medium or long length hair
Okay...I think this is a good idea but for people with short hair. I have medium length hair and this item is short in length and can not possibly get hot enough. It will also pull your hair as you run it through it. Again...great idea for a travel product though.

Good design and nifty storage case however the product simply does not get as hot as my Braun cordless wand which I am unable to order from Australia. All in all this is a disappointment as it has to be sufficiently hot to be effective and it basically is not, regardless of all the other features. I'll keep looking for a retailer who is willing to ship me a replacement Braun wand to Australia.

Works great. Heats in less than a minute. Niece used it to curl my hair for my weddding. No cords to tie us to one location. She was free to move around me (and my dress). It was perfect.
