Amazon.com Product Description: The Victorinox Rescue Tool was developed and perfected in conjunction with emergency medical and rescue services in a five-year project. All parts have been subject to stringent tests, particularly the new window breaker and disc saw tools. The Rescue Tool includes the most essential functions for freeing a person from a disabled vehicle, including a rounded belt cutter which can be used to safely cut through a seat belt. The one-handed blade and strong screwdriver (crate opener) are fixed in position when open thanks to the liner lock mechanism. The look of the Rescue Tool is unique as well with its luminescent yellow grip shells and bright red and yellow nylon case.

About Swiss Army Knives In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener's mother, and 'inox,' or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The forerunner of that name dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer's and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor or versatility.

Rating: - Looks better in picture
Under product description.. on right hand side there is nice photograph which says "knife of Year 2007". Actual product doesn't look that good. That photo graph is almost 9 times (I am trying to be reasonable) better then product it self. Since I was expecting extremely gorgeous knife... first impression was kind of disappointing.
Good thing about knife is that its razor sharp.... I didn't realize that until I saw some blood on my finger. Also Its not "made in china" ... Its very well ... Read More
Rating: - The best from Victorinox
I am knife collector and I can tell this one is the best from Victorinox (Swiss Army) and one of my best knives among more than 200 knives. Price is very reasonable, and the most important thing is this one still is Swiss Made not Chinese

I first saw this tool showcased in Outside magazine. After researching it quite a bit, I thought it seemed like a great rescue tool. I have not been disappointed. It's an extremely durable tool. I especially like the blade and the screw drivers are as sturdy as I've ever seen on a multipurpose tool. The only thing I disliked was the sheath. I went to a local saddle shop and had a leather sheath handmade. ALthough a little heavy, I highly recommend it for backpacking and other outdoor use.
Rating: - Incredible
This is a great piece. I got it for my father in law. Its a sturdy knife and appears more than durable. The victorinox website lays out all of the features but it doesnt describe the size. This is a big knife. The blade is big, the seatbelt cutter is big, the grip is big. Its larger and thicker than a standard pocket knife because thats not what its intended for. That being said the grip fits comfortably in hand and it comes with a nylon case with belt loop. I wouldnt recommend trying to take ... Read More
