This is an excellent electric bicycle. You can use it like a scooter, without pedaling, or you can pedal and get some exercise and a little more range out of it. I used it as my primary means of transportation since purchasing one in April 2007, and it is essential to me now. It can manage around 20-30 miles distance on a charge (depending on how much you pedal) and with my bad knees, this is the first bike I've felt comfortable pedaling in many years.
