This product really works great, will boil water in a pot very fast and in doing so not a lot of heat is given off; only the pot and water get hot, not the hotplate. Also has a temperature setting so you can make soup or stew boil very slowly. If you set it higher it will hold grease at the temperature you want. This "Hotplate" works better then you can believe. Absolutely instant temperature control!
Having said all that, the first one I received did arrive with a broken cook top, but ... Read More

Max Burton's Induction Cooktop is one of the best small appliances I have ever purchased. I highly (*****) recommend it!
Rating: - Bye-bye gas cooktop, I've switched for good!
This is our 1st induction cooktop, though I've tried built-ins in the stores. The price is so much better and the portability is a big selling feature for us - we can plug it in anywhere when traveling and also can cook outside in summer to keep heat and humidity out of the house if need be. We've not used the gas range since we got this ... Read More

All-Clad pans don't work very well on this unit. I'm hardly going to replace them, so I'm disappointed. Yes, a magnet sticks to them, but that's only the outer layer and apparently the middle and inner layers don't conduct the magnetically generated heat. The cookware can be used, but it's slow--in fact, it's faster to cook on a normal range. I tried an ordinary loaf pan I had on hand with some water to make sure the unit wasn't defective, and indeed the water heated very quickly, so the cooktop ... Read More

I have no clue what I am doing, but so far I like my induction cook top. I would rate it higher but it is hard to get information on induction cooking
not until I received the item did I know the pan bottom size was 4 to 10 inches. I have pans that are 12 inches and I don't know it I can use them.My other problem is a teakettle I don't know where I can get a compatible model. The only place I can get information is by paying for consumer reports subscription. I am the only person that I know ... Read More
