Rating:  - Good bike shorts - especially for the money
I ordered these after purchasing new Pearl Izumi shorts for over $60. Granted the PI shorts have nicer padding - but the difference is really not that much - these shorts are great for my commute riding (10+ miles each way).

I have never worn bike shorts before so I didn't know what to expect and because I don't ride evey single day, I didn't see the point of spending a ton of money. These shorts feel great and ride very well. They are comfortable, don't bunch up in the seat and the pad that comes with it feels great when riding. I would recomend these to a novice or a seasoned rider. Another feature is these shorts have the recomended eight panel construction; an important feature to look for. All in all, great price ... My first pair of bike shorts. Product is well made and size is true. Pad is a bit stiff, but it distributes the saddle load well. I have since purchased two additional shorts from different manufacturers. In comparison, this pair is average. Nashbar shorts (about the same price point) breathe/wick moisture better, however, the chamois is less padded. I am a total beginner when it comes to biking, but I do have some experience in running (ten marathons, including Boston). I think that the best compliment I can give to a piece of athletic clothing is that once I start, I don't have to think about it until it's time to take it off and hit the showers.
