Rating:  - Not as good as my CHI was...
I had a CHI (no temp dial) for about 3 years. It was great. I took it to Europe and even with a converter, it shorted out. So, my stylist recommended this flat iron - especially because it has the temp control. It's just okay. I am African-American. I have mixed texture, unrelaxed hair. This iron and the CHI produce a nice silky effect on my hair. I just feel like the CHI got the job done quicker.

I've always had a cheap iron and finally broke down and spent the money to buy a nicer one. I will never go back. I've had numerous comments on how soft my hair looks since I've got this. I definitely would recommend buying this.

I purchased this iron and have used it to create some of the cutest hair styles. Not only did it straighten my hair, but my hair felt softer and silkier than it has with any other flat iron (vs. the CHI). I am so happy that I purchased the FHI platform, and I must say that Amazon's shipping was great!

This is my second FHI flat iron and it is wonderful. My other one works fine, but I wanted to try this one. It heats up fast, gets my hair straight and silky smooth and it stays that way. I love it!!

FHI Professional Platform Flatiron 1". This is the absolute BEST. I have exceptionally frizzy hair and always have. Since the advent of flatirons, I have bought a gazillion and they just didn't "get it". But, I heard from my stylist about this one and took her advice and now again I understand ALWAYS ASK THE PRO and this is the professional unit.
