I always had very thin and brittle nails. I used acrylic nails for many years because I couldn't grow my nails to a reasonable length. Recently I decided to do away with the acrylics because of all the inconveniences associated with fake nails. This left my natural nails paper thin and painful to deal with. This product, though pricey, does exactly what it says it will. For a person who is coming off of acrylic nails this product works very well to keep nails firm. It is not necessary to apply it daily as advised. Three or four coats will keep paper thin nails firm for weeks.
