Rating:  - Works great...for about 6 months
I've gone through two of these and both of them kicked the bucket after about 6 months. The last one going out in flaming glory by burning a hole in my new couch. Needless to say, I will not buy again and would not recommend for others.

This pad works great. I almost didn't purchase it after reading the reviews about it not getting hot enough. These people are crazy. The pad gets hot enough that you cannot place it on bare skin. Definitely a good buy-

I have athritis and I have pain in my left leg especially at night so the pad really helps. sometimes the 2 hour shut off wakes me up and I restart it. This is a good safety device even though sometimes it frustrates me.

I purchased this product to ease my tense muscles. I only used it a few times when the control began flashing red, no response to any buttons pressed (including inability to turn it off) and the heat function no longer operated. I was really bummed so I contacted Amazon and was able to send it in for a replacement- Yea! so I thought... So, I was happy to have a working heating pad again. Rating: - Lead on the Cord!
Most people don't notice, but the cord has a tag near the plug that warns you have to wash your hands after use, because it contains a chemical known in CA to produce cancer and birth defects.
After you're plugged in, how are you supposed to wash your hands? And just why does a health product contain lead, especially when it is impossible to use this without touching the cord?
