Product Description: The Gerber LMFII was designed in conjunction with military and military instructors to be used in any survival situation. The blade is 3/16' thick, 12C 27 Stainless Steel with a no glare, blackened finish and Rockwell Hardness of 58. The handle has been designed for overall comfort, to eliminate blisters but provide a good grip. Relieved oval and holes in handle to allow for use as a spear. The butt cap, which can be used as a hammer or as a window punch; even through helicopter Plexiglas, is separated from the tang of the blade to reduce shock and provide electrical insulation.Overall Length: 10.59 inches Blade Length: 4.84 inches Weight: 11.4 ounces

Rating: - Looking for a great camping/surval knife?
I was looking for a tactical knife, you know, like a WWII Ka-Bar. Those are OK, but now a collector's item, and appear more like a killing tool or trench knife. I searched several places and found the Gerber LMF 2. Gerber certainly has a reputation in the knife business. There is no doubt that this knife comes with that pedigree.
