Cuisinart Multiclad is a superior line of cookware - I've been collecting pieces for a while now. I have no complaints about the double boiler (which rests comfortably in a variety of Cuisinart pots, and possibly others.) It works great, has a generous capacity and comfortable handle, and cleans up like a dream.
That said, it's really easy to make your own double boiler at home, using a heavy sauce pan plus a durable glass or steel mixing bowl that rests comfortably on top, never touching ... Read More

Effective double boiler - used for candies and chocolates so far.
I wondered how easily the stainless steel would clean up - but it does clean up very well and easily.
