I've been using the John Sterling shelving system for years. I used to buy parts at Home Depot, but they stopped selling it about 5 years ago. I started to buy them through Amazon, but their availablility was spotty and some orders took more than 3 months to deliver. The best place to buy the parts is through Ace Hardware and Aubuchon Hardware.

(Written by Angela's husband) This John Sterling shelving system is great. It's very strong and easy to install. I have now covered all walls in the garage with shelves using this system. I actually prefer the 14 inch brackets with a 16 inch shelf. I space the standards at 24 or 32 inches, depending on the stud spacing (I have both 24" and 16" studs). I then buy a piece of 3/4" plywood at Home Depot or Lowe's and have them cut it into six pieces which are 16" x 48" each. It's the least expensive, ... Read More
