They're just really comfortable. I bought them not for any terribly extreme stuff, but just for hiking and working outside and whatnot. They're great so far. Totally comfortable right out of the box, and not overly sweaty.
Rating: - Good solid hiking boot
These boots are true to size and provide a comfortable fit. I spent no more than 3 hours "breaking them in" the day before I took them on a 6 mile hike along fairly difficult terrain composed of rocks and wet sand. The boots held up well and felt comfortable the entire time. I had planned poorly and didn't purchase these boots until two days before this rather wet hike that I was going on. Rating: - Very good day hiking/light backpacking boot
The Vasque Wasatch lives up to its reputation for unusual out of the box comfort. I took a brand new pair on a hard hike and rock scramble last weekend with no blisters or other problems.
The boots managed to stay completely dry even though recent rains had transformed the trails into small brooks.
