Therese Martin followed the path of "mortification" and was Canonized by Pope Pius XI in May 1925. According to author Beevers, she received spiritual sustenance by reading St. John of the Cross.
She died young and didn't really do much of anything in life besides devote herself to Christ, and therein lied her sainthood, according to Beevers.
