The ImpactVCB can display live video from NTSC or PAL video sources in a resizable window on the PC screen. The digitizing of the analog video signal and the resizing of the video image is performed by hardware on the ImpactVCB. After video is digitized and resized, the digitized video image is drawn by the ImpactVCB directly into the memory of the PC's VGA card.

Rating: - Great capture card
This is a great product. I don't know what one of the other reviewers meant about having to cut or bend a piece to make it fit in the PC PCI slot. Mine fit almost perfectly (I have a slimline PC).
The product comes with a CD to install the drives and two similar software programs to run it. The software are okay but I recommend downloading DScaler (it's free, just Google it). Rating: - Best multiple capture card.
I bought this to use with Premiere Pro 2. The drivers were difficult to install and configure. Works well but cumbersome to install because the plate didn't fit in my compter. I had to bend the ear up and screw and extension to mount it in a regular PCI slot.
Rating: - Great Capture Card for Linux, However...
I purchased this card after reading another review on Amazon.com which stated that this is a good card for Linux. Well, it is a great card for Linux, but once it arrived in the mail, I was somewhat disappointed to notice a few things I didn't expect with the card.
First, this card has no TV coaxial in or out. The picture here on Amazon is somewhat deceiving as you only get a side view of the card, which gives us the illusion that this thing is loaded with all kinds of input connectors. ... Read More
Rating:  - Not what I needed
This product was shipped in a timely manner, and worked. However, there is little or no information on what it does and how to operate it, either that comes with the product, or on the web site. I needed a product that that generates MPEG2 files, so that I could burn a DVD. This product doesn't do that. I had to return it and purchase the Win TV PVR-150. The new product also comes with poor documentation. You will need to experiment in order to learn how to use it.

I purchased this card for a small form factor computer running Debian linux to capture images from a wireless video camera. It is supported very well under linux using the BT878 driver. It has been working continuously for about 3 months without any problems.
