Designed for folks who prefer a little less weight on the hip, the Leatherman Kick multitool features longer, sharper, stronger implements in a lightweight, compact tool. The full-size pliers include a newly designed jaw to handle twice the squeeze-load as the previous version with no extra weight added. A straight-knife, three extended screwdrivers and a bottle and can opener fold neatly and tightly inside the tool. Leatherman's rugged Zytel handle grips ensure a firm and comfortable hold. This multitool also contains a fixed lanyard ring and a leather sheath.

Efficiency is the name of Kick's game. Thoughtful engineering means that a tapped screw allows you to choose a pocket clip (sold separately) instead of a belt sheath. Kick has the same super-strong pliers as larger Leatherman tools, but its narrow shape and light weight keep you moving.
The Kick's interior features are supremely easy to access -- just swing open the handles and rotate the blades out using the convenient nail nicks. The scissors open the same way, with a swift rotation and a nail nick; and when the scissors are fully extended, they lock into place. Rating:  - Leatherman's Kick won't kick back on you!
The Leatherman 830018 Kick Pocket Multi-Tool with Leather Sheath is said by some to be the "Leatherman Lite" model, but it's no lightweight when it comes to performance.
It's the thinnest regular sized Leatherman multi-tool. The pliers are strong, and with a nice grip, but have a narrower shape and lighter weight than some of the larger Leatherman models, and the head of these pliers seems to 'get in there' where some of the others would be too wide. Rating: - Everything you need for a quick fix
As an AV/computer tech, this is a great little tool that can be used in a pinch. This is my first Leatherman, so I can't complain about the handles; I find that the indentations in the handles works well enough for me that I find them comfortable to grip. The pliers are great, and the choice of other tools was thoughtful.

Rating:  - It is better than some of the cheap chinese models out there...
I bought mine as a replacement for my Sideclip (thought it was lost, found it!) and it does a fine job of giving you a helping hand; however I still favor my Sideclip. This would be an excellent replacement if Leatherman included the pocket clip; I purchased that separately much to my dismay. I will keep it in one toolbox but continue to carry my trusty Sideclip.
Rating:  - nice item, expected slightly better quality
the features are very good, and the design is excellent. Operation was not as smooth as I would have liked (I had a SOG years ago, and that thing worked great). Some wd40 fixed it up a little, but it has more to do with the construction of the thing.
