Editorial Review:
Product Description: Sea-Bands are available in bright colourful designs. They are safe for children aged 3 and over to use and because they do not contain any drugs, there are no side effects. Sea-Band for Travel Sickness PLANES, TRAINS, BOATS, CARS, COACHES AND EVEN AT THE FUNFAIR! Try them - they really work! Travelling the world - for business or pleasure - is now easier than ever. But whether your journey is by air, road, rail or sea it can be a miserable experience if you suffer from travel sickness. The nausea, dizziness and vomiting caused by any form of transport are triggered by a confusion of messages received in the brain. Although you may be sitting motionless in a seat, your senses tell you that you are actually moving. Contrary to common belief, the resulting nausea is not 'all in the mind' and is experienced by children and adults alike. Early signs of travel sickness include quietness, headaches and lethargy, often followed by uncontrollable vomiting. Drug-free remedies Anti-sickness drugs may have unwanted side-effects such as drowsiness and may not be suitable for children or for some adults. Yet there are other ways to help prevent nausea: In cars or buses, sit at the front and always face the direction in which you are travelling. Don't look out of side windows and focus on the horizon. Breathe in fresh air - open a window or stay outside on a ship's deck. Don't eat a heavy or greasy meal before travelling. Keep children occupied - play an 'I spy' game for example. Most importantly, wear Sea-Bands during your journey.

Rating: - Did not work for my child
I bought these for my 7 year old daughter who suffers from motion sickness during long car trips. Dramamine doesn't work for her (it actually makes the nausea worse). I used the adult size bands myself on a cruise and they worked well, so I thought we would give them a try. The first time I went to CVS and an employee helped me locate them. She told me the adult size bands would work on my daughter and the packaging stated it was for all ages. But, just as I thought, the bands were not snug ... Read More

I bought these for my daughter to use on vacation. We were planning to drive about 18 hours one way. I got them about 2 weeks before vacation, so we tried them out on car trips around town. She didn't get sick once. I was very hopeful about this product. However, while on vacation, she did get sick. So, I'm not sure how well they work for her.

My Daughter from age 1.5 yrs threw up in the car at least twice a week on the way to school. I purchased these bracelets in Jan 2007 and she has not been sick but one time... WHEN WE FORGOT THE BRACELETS! They are cheap and they DO work. Not sometimes but all the time. Don't just purchase one set!

My daughter usually gets car sick on long drives and sometimes on 5-10 minute drives. We used these bands on our last long trip. She didn't get motion sick once!
