Rating:  - Great Iron but questionable quality
I bought this specific waffle iron for the brand and waffle shape. We all love waffles and the heart shape is fun for the kids. After about 5 months, the iron started overheating and burning our waffles. I started with a normal setting of 4, then moved to 2, now I'm at the 1 setting and my waffles are still burning. Unfortunately, I'm not happy with the quality, price and short life of this iron, but it was fun while it lasted.

POSITIVES:
- heats & cooks very quickly
- has a indicator light & tone when the iron is hot and when the waffles are cooked
- variable darkness setting
- stores upright to save space
- cleans up easily
- makes pretty waffles
NEGATIVES:
- the ridges & holes are very shallow making for a more doughy waffle - more like a pancake than a waffle
- they do not get as crisp as the ones from an old belgian waffle maker I have

Well-made waffle machine. Ready indicator light and tone are helpful - loud enough to hear in next room and not annoying. Easy to clean. Easy to store between the cord wrap and being able to store it upright. Temperature control allows you to choose various levels of soft or crisp waffles (my personal favorite is level 3). Used this item several times. Love the ease in using it. Makes great waffles. We do not like the belgium waffle makers. Grandchildren loved the large heart with the little hearts around. Cleaned up well too.
