Just once in a while, a product far exceeds expectations. For twenty years I owned and treasured a kerosene torch which was very effective, but heavy and complicated to use.. It finally quit and I purchased this Benzomatic product.Some weed torches operate from a large propane tank which is awkward. This has been an excellent tool for weeding in parts of the garden with stone mulch. It does, of course, ignite wood mulch. It does also leave black soot residue on light colored stone or concrete. But it works really well and is a very satisfying to someone like me who really likes (controlled) fire.
