The Line-R is a microprocessor controlled tap changing power conditioner, which automatically corrects brownouts and overvoltages, and stabilizes chronic line voltage variation. Line-R also provides multi-stage surge suppression and full-time EMI/RFI filters to handle all the problems your equipment is likely to face. A voltage meter on the Line-R's front panel displays the relative input voltage level and alerts you to low or high voltage conditions. A front panel surge protection integrity light indicates the health of the circuitry. In addition, an audible alarm alerts you to extreme input voltages that cannot be corrected to within the normal output voltage regulation band. Line-R automatically performs self-tests, and its 'adaptive mode' also senses and corrects frequent tap changing, thereby reducing wear on the relays for a longer life span and quiet operation.

Rating: - The Best for All Electronics
For safety and ease of mind for your computer and the rest of your electronics APC is the only way to go. This company been in business for a long time and I used their back up systems as long as I remember, They were and are always super dependable and useful, and you can not beat the equipment warranty they furnish for the equipment that will be hooked to their products. Rating: - The best for the price
The APC LE1200 1200VA Voltage Regulator is top of the line for the price. I couldn't believe the prices of some voltage regulators. Who needs battery backup for their A/V equipment? Don't let Best Buy talk you into purchasing one of those overrated/priced monster boxes. Though they are good, they are way too overpriced. Buy APC!
Rating: - Perfect for a generator
If you use a generator or have poor quality power, this is a must for sensitive equipment. I originally purchased a UPS to help filter power from a generator to some computer equipment. To my dismay the UPS would switch every few seconds from battery to line power and quickly drain itself. Putting this voltage regulator between the UPS and generator resolved this. It happily put out clean power even as motors and power tools kick in on the same circuit.

I have used APC LE1200 voltage regulators for a couple of weeks. I have had no problems so far. I have noticed high voltage indication on the unit many times and am glad that this device is there to protoect my expensive electronic gadgets. I chose it because of APC's brand name and I guess it is one of the best makes in the market.
Rating: - More important than you may realize
A surge protector is not enough. Brown-outs are far more frequent than catastrophic lightning strikes; especially with cheap electrical wiring in your home. You can hear this thing catching problems, "click", when the AC turns on, or you turn on 5 things at once, like your computer, monitor and all it's peripherals. I love mine. All 5 of them. (and these new ones are smaller than the earlier models were 6,7 years ago!)
