Amazon.com: It's brains over brawn as Tim Allen reunites with The Santa Clause director John Pasquin for this amiable comedy about a devoted dad who almost lets his fists do the talking. After being humiliated by the office bully (played by The Tick's Patrick Warburton), corporate nebbish Joe Scheffer (Allen) vows revenge. He becomes an office celebrity, taking kung fu lessons with a has-been action star (Jim Belushi) and preparing for a rematch against his tormentor. Kid stuff, to be sure, but Joe Somebody benefits from Allen's Everyman appeal, especially when he's getting his values adjusted by a caring colleague (Julie Bowen, from TV's Ed), or trying to make good with his daughter (Hayden Panettiere) and ex-wife (Kelly Lynch). The comedy is pure vanilla, and the good-guy lessons are learned with bland, family-fare efficiency, but the Allen-Bowen romance is gently engaging, and Allen's flair for slapstick doesn't go to waste. As a pacifist hero, this Joe is somebody to root for. --Jeff Shannon

Rating: - OSCAR WINNER NO........ENJOYABLE ROMANTIC COMEDY....... YES!
You know, sometimes you just want to watch a movie that doesn't tax your brain. "Joe Somebody" is a good romantic comedy that has a message I'm sure we can all agree on "Be Yourself"! The cast seems to be enjoying themselves and that carries over on to the viewer. I don't think Tim Allen has ever been more likable and the romantic chemistry between him and quirky cutie Julie Bowen is believable. Jim Belushi is very amuzing as a "has been" action hero star turned boozer Karate instructor, so the next ... Read More
Rating: - THE KARATE KLUTZ
JOE SOMEBODY has a pretty clear message: being "somebody" is mainly being yourself, and star Tim Allen does a good job in bringing this message home. He plays Joe, a nice corporate visual aid consultant, who gets slapped around by a bully employee in front of his impressionistic daughter. He decides to take lessons from a has been karate movie star, and challenges the bully to a rematch. It's all cutesy stuff, but it benefits from Allen's on target performance and a nice supporting cast including ... Read More

This movie really was not that great to me. There were some funny parts, but it just kept going, and the same thing happend the whole time. I guess you could just say it was a little dry.
Rating: - Joe Nobody Ha, Ha, Ha!
Not as Bad as Freddy Got Fingered, but it's terrible and starring a non-terrible star Tim Allen. He goes from Tim Taylor to Santa Clause to Buzz Lightyear and to other flicks, but then he goes to this poopy waste of a film, when Tim Allen could of done Toy Story 3. The plot is very stupid, this is a big discrace for Tim Allen, if you think this is better than the Santa Clause, I'm grateful I don't know you. I could make a better SAG Award winning porno than this piece of comedy POOP POOP POOP.
