Made for British cable television in the early 90's, this was one in a series of four movies inspired by the romantic Barbara Cartland period novels. Some great actors who must must have needed the money. This was one of three or four Barbara Cartland novels made into movies in the late 80s, early 90s. The movies were actually better than the books because they left out a lot of Barbara Cartland's padding-- the conversational ellipses that make her heroines sound like they are having an asthma attack.
