Product Description: Delivers fast, effective instruction that rewards effort with success. The program that adapts to your individual learning style to develop all four Danish language skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.
Amazon.com Product Description: Now you can learn a new language with the award-winning method used by the U.S. State Department to train diplomats. Proven effective by NASA astronauts, Peace Corps volunteers, and millions of students worldwide, the Rosetta Stone Language Library teaches new languages faster and easier than ever before.
We all learn our childhood language by associating new words and phrases with the world around us. The Rosetta Stone method replicates this process by presenting vivid, real-life images to convey the meaning of each new phrase. Instead of translating, memorizing, and studying rules of grammar, you actually learn to think in the new language. Vocabulary and grammar are integrated systematically, leading to everyday proficiency. It's the natural way to learn.
The Rosetta Stone Explorer contains 22 lessons for beginning learners with nearly 900 real-life images and phrases spoken by native speakers. It develops all key language skills--listening comprehension, reading, speaking, and writing--while its systematic structure teaches vocabulary and grammar naturally, without lists and drills. Includes previews, exercises, and tests for every lesson, with automated tutorials throughout the program. (Ages 6 and older)

Rating: - This is Okay, but Its not the Full Version.
I guess I didnt understand when I bought this, but its only 2 chapters of the total software! The whole 90 lesson cost about 150 bucks on a seperate purchase. Overall its okay, but I wish I would have not wasted my money for just 2 lessons! Thats my only complaint, the actual 2 lessons are informative, I had been through Bente Elsworth TYD book so I knew a lot ( plus living over there), but I wouldnt reccomend if you have no knowledge of danish at all. The pictures are not always clear on what exactly ... Read More
Rating: - The best I've tried so far...
There isn't a lot to choose from as far as options for learning Danish! I went to Denmark in '98 and bought everything I could find on Amazon - "Teach Yourself Basic Danish" by Bente Elsworth and the Danish Cassette pack w/phrase book by Berlitz. While the cassettes were helpful in learning to pronounce and comprehend spoken words, they were quite boring.
I have since taken a non-credit Danish course that used the "Teach Yourself" book mentioned above. The classroom setting with a native of ... Read More
Rating: - Great if you have plenty of time...
This software takes a "whole language" approach to learning Danish. If you want to really learn this language, this is a great program. If, however, like me, phrases like "where is the bathroom" are more important than "the boy is on the horse," then you should look elsewhere. This is frankly the only Learn Danish software I found and I did learn enough to get by for two months in Copenhagen without starving or getting lost.
Rating: - Great For Families
This has been a great way for our family to study a foreign language together. The way this program works makes it easy for each person to go at his/her own pace. We are really enjoying this software. A bit about how it works, there are 4 exquisite photographs with a phrase for each that is spoken by a native speaker. The lessons build upon themselves; so you consistently review what has already been covered. This program is the best way we have found to study Danish.
Rating: - Not that good
It's hard to follow and not as fun as I wished it was.
