The Flowtron Model BK15D is ideal for the typical backyard. The vertical electric grill is self cleaning. I also have a competitor's electronic insect killer and it has a mesh grill that I have to clean every two weeks. I will be purchasing another Flowtron for my other home that I go to on the weekends.

Rating:  - Does not kill flys
I have tried this for over 3 weeks now. It kills just about any flying insects except flys. I am somewhat disappointed because flys is the main problem I have.

I've had this maybe for over a month. I use it in the living room where I leave it on once I see flies in the house.
Around evening, when sunlight doesn't pierce through the curtains, the flies finally see the flowtron bulb and fly into it.
Often, the fly is just stunned after the first run-in, but that's good enough because eventually it dies on the floor.

We live within 30 feet of a north Florida wetland and we were besieged by mosquitos especially after tropical storm 'Fay'. After a lot of research,I ordered this product. I have found it very effective in 'moving' the bugs away from my patio deck and where people congregate. You can't 'Zap' them all and there are always stragglers so keep it away from people!!
