Rating:  - I WANT THIS ON DVD !
(note: I wrote this in 2005)I LOVE STAR WARS AND ALL OF IT'S KNOCK-OFFS (EVEN THE REALLY BAD ONES) AND WHAT WITH THIS AT ONE TIME BEING ON THE SCI-FI CHANNEL , IT SHOULD BE ON DVD...NOT VHS (I DON'T EVEN USE MY VCR ANY MORE) SO IF YOU LOVE STAR WARS , YOU'LL LOVE THIS !

Rating: - A classic
This was one of the first Anime films I ever saw. I view it as a classic. Where is the deluxe double disc DVD? Release it already. This film is a must have for any true Anime fan. As for the Star Wars similarities, well, Lucas apparently ripped off everyone.

Alright, its been quite a while since I reviewed this movie the first time. I admit I was a bit immature, but it was only because I was so biased to like this movie. I grew up watching this, so this is my "power ranger". Never the less, I have to admit the voice acting is very dated. The animation is likewise. Rating:  - Doc Smith's spinning in his grave...
This takes the names from the Lensman series and little else. It changes the storyline to something more like Star Wars, with Kim replacing Luke Skywalker. Most fans of the books would cheerfully pull out their DeLameter blasters and incinerate any and all copies of this atrocity.

The Lensman is an awesome movie. ... The animation is good, the acting is good (at most parts), the story, and action are also great. All of these add up to make a great animated movie that is easily worth at least ...dollars. ...
