Rating:  - Jami Gertz at her best!
I admit that my purchase of this movie is because of Jami Gertz. Becoming an admirer of her because of her television series Still Standing, I am determined to see her other work, some of which I've never seen before. I'm not disappointed at all with this purchase. Jami is a real delight in this film. She gives a great performance with much subtlety and emotional variety. Rating: - I love the 80's movies!
Ok, its a little cheesy at times, and a little predictable, but i still love it! I love all the 80's movies, but this ones great because its not just another teen movie. The idea that a girl from "the other side of town", can end up with a hot shot from the city is cool. I love the ending, mcdermott look veeeryyyy nice all wet, lol!!!

I really liked this movie. I always like movies about people ending up with people that are supposed to be out of their league. It's the character of a person; not their lifestyle. Great movie.

Think Pretty Woman except better, less phoney-baloney. Jami Gertz is perfect, just luminous. I love her clothes, her hair and nails, her mannerisms. Her girlfriends are just fab with their own big hair and brassy personalities. I know these people and I like them. The only thing I didn't like was the music; where is Bon Jovi and Bruce Springsteen? Probably too expensive. Minor detail.
