Editorial Review:

Description:
AUTUMN SUN is a beautiful love story set in Buenos Aires, starring two of Argentina's most noted actors, Norma Aleando (The Official Story) and Federico Luppi (Men with Guns). It is a mid-life romance that speaks directly to the heart and mind without gimmick, tricks or compromise.

Clara Goldstein (Norma Aleandro) is a lovely, middle-aged Jewish woman who, because of an impending visit from her American brother, is forced to create a contrived relationship with a man of her own faith. She places an ad in a personals column and meets Raul (Federico Luppi); a well-spoken, handsome and charming man whom she soon discovers is a Gentile and does not fulfill her reason for placing the ad. Clara soon realizes she has no alternative and proceeds to instruct Raul with an intensive course in Judaism. Their journey is both humorous and captivating, but not one without pitfalls.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - A great movie experience robbed by negligent DVD quality
The remarkable artistry in character development has been robbed from viewers of this movie by what is absolutely the worst DVD quality I have ever seen. It looks as though it has been created from a poor VHS copy, with the line structure actually encoded onto the DVD. Whatever I write will not prepare you for the visual horror that awaits the hapless buyer.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Autumn Sun

Despite the Jewish flavor, those who are not Jewish will appreciate the humor and humanness of the movie. We have all been there! The extent to which we will go to create the illusion of doing well in order to please friends and family is amazing and what we learn in the process is ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Movie bad features
The content is great! I can see Argentinians away from home appreciating the movie just by its images. Although the richness of the images cannot be very well appreciated because the subtitles cannot be turned off. I would not recommend this movie to any Argentinian who's feeling home sick, I will make things worse. Anyway, I guess we can consider ourselves lucky for the release of the movie on DVD format. I hope that this is a growing trend and that more foreing movies like this one will become ... Read More
