The 1970s saw a wave of nostalgia directed primarily towards the late 1950s/early 1960s, precipitated by George Lucas' cinematic staple American Graffiti (1973), which was followed up by a not so great sequel titled More American Graffiti (1979). Rating: - Not much to it.
This is certainly one of the bigger pieces of fluff to come out of the '70s. A 20-something year old high school "kid" is considered to be a total loser. He takes a brand new Chevy convertible from an acquaintance without asking permission. Now he's becoming friends with the cool guys and catching the eyes of some ladies. That's it. Harmless but usually quite boring.

I really like Max Baer film's. They have a cool hands-on feel. This one is about a geeky teen in the fifties who borrows a car without asking and suddenly has friends because the car is really hot. Amusing and fun Max Baer entry. Check out ODE TO BILLY JOE and MACON COUNTY LINE for his two best known films

A low-grade imitation of American Graffiti/Animal House/Hollywood Knights, et. al. that was all the rage in the late 70s/early 80s. The adventures of a geek named Rodney C. Duckworth and his efforts to end his virginity. Directed by Max Baer, Jr. (Jethro Bodine from the Beverly Hillbillies, who was better off as a brain surgeon or double-knot spy).
