Amazon.com: Jane Fonda on Valium--that's what Leslie Sansone seems like in Walk & Firm for Older Adults. But that's a good thing, especially if you're the 'older' person this half-hour is aimed at. Sansone takes you through her gentle in-home walking program with a peppy (but not too chipper) spirit on a set that looks like a barely furnished living room. She doesn't bother with a cast of dozens--it's just you and your private exercise guru. After a low-key warm-up that includes walking, mild kicks, and mini-squats, the pace picks up. Mild aerobic exercise is interspersed with firming and strengthening, using weights of 2 pounds or less. Throughout, she cautions against doing a move that seems too difficult or using a weight that feels too heavy. This is aerobics for the reluctant exerciser: The only thing that really matters is that you keep moving. --Valerie J. Nelson

I like this tape. I have end stage hip arthritis (need a hip replacement), & have degenerative disk disease in my back from yrs of doing extreme sports. I am now also 50# overwgt - gained it over the last few yrs because of the arthritis.
I was afraid to even start exercising, & afraid of a tape that was too fast & I'd hurt myself (like the TV show workouts I've seen)...

bored by treadmills.
I'm in my fifties, and have started exercising because I'd let myself get totally out-of-shape. Everything else besides fitness used to take priority. I still don't want to spend big bucks on a treadmill or gym membership. Using this tape, I feel a little like Goldilocks: you know, some videos were too hard, some old people videos didn't do any toning, but this one is JUST RIGHT. I STARTED WALK THE WALK 1 MILE VIDEO THE LAST OF JANUARY AND HAVE NEVER MISSED A DAY SINCE. I AM 70 YEARS OLD AND I FEEL GREAT ESPECIALLY AFTER MY DAILY MILE WALK TO THE VIDEO.
I LIVE IN APT ON 15TH FLOOR AND DO THE VIDEO ON MY PATIO AND LOOK OUT OVER SAN DIEGO AND IT IS REALLY GREAT.

THIS IS A STEP AWAY FROM GREG SMITHEY'S EASY STRETCH. IN FACT IT IS A STEP ABOVE OR TWO. BUT? I HAVE ALMOST MADE THE WHOLE THING NOW. AND? I'M IN LOVE WITH LESLIE. I FIND HER MOST BENEFICIAL AND HELPFUL. I HAVE BOUGHT OTHER TAPES OF HERS INCLUDING WALK THE WALK WITH THE CHRISTIAN MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND. THIS TAPE THOUGH TAKES YOU THROUGH A MILE AND A HALF OF AEROBICS AND WEIGHTS. WALK THE WALK ONLY LASTS 20 MINS. (WHILE THIS ONE THIRTY,) AND HAS NO WEIGHTS. EQUALLY GOOD!
