Editorial Review:
Amazon.com: A thoughtful (and logical!) reminder to adjust the TV set's colors kicks off another winning edition in the Parent's Choice Award-winning series titled Baby's First Impressions. And that's just the beginning of the refreshing surprises in this 32-minute celebration of colors. Accompanied by its own instrumental theme song, each color charges onto the screen for about three minutes of solo attention. A helpful, narrating voice introduces about a dozen colors and gently educates with phrases like 'Can you find the yellow?' Images captured on various indoor sets include slow-motion footage of oranges, kiwis, and brilliant red peppers splashing into clear water; outside, the camera spies blooming violets and a buttercup-yellow bench. Throughout the show, thoughtful camera work captures visions from a child's perspective--close up and playful. Scenes that float in like bubbles and a score that makes the adults want to sign up for mambo lessons (not to mention swing, tango, and waltz) make this video as stimulating for the grown-ups as it's meant to be for its 8-month to 4-year-old audience. --Liane Thomas

Rating: - Entertaining for both parent and child
I would absolutely recommend purchasing the entire set. The videos keep my son entertained for many hours. It's better than hearing him cry. He began watching videos when he was 1 month. Be patient. Infants have a short attention span. If you consistently show the videos everyday your child will learn before you even notice it.
My son is 18 months old now. Although he cannot say the words red, blue, yellow, green pink brown, orange, black and white he is able to recognize ... Read More
Rating: - Very good, good for learning colors
The Baby's First Impression series is very good. I didn't get all of the cassettes, but the best were: Numbers, Letters, Colors and Animals (in that order). This is until the age of two, since I don't know about after that yet.
Rating: - Entertaining and Educational
Our daughter loved this video from the time she was eight months old. At that time she responded to the music and the movements. Now at 18 months she pipes up "lello" and "pink" during the approriate sections. Our son knew all his colors before he was three--in part because of this engaging video. I won't belabor the educational value of this video (and the others in the series), but it's a lot better than mindless cartoons. And I even found that I didn't mind watching it with the kids myself, ... Read More
Rating: - Excellent - Child's attention kept with video and music
Our daughter is now 14 months old, and she has loved this video since she was 4 months in age. When she was in her bouncy seat, she would rock the seat back and forth to the visuals and music. Now, she rocks back and forth on her feet. When she is not feeling well or is restless, we are able to use this video to calm her down and provide focus. The video always puts a smile on her face. Each color has a specific genre of music playing with the visuals. The music styles range from funky, rock-like tunes, ... Read More
