Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
A touchstone junk comedy from 1976, this ensemble piece helped set a precedent for movies with lots of characters and a vague narrative excuse for putting them all in the same movie. In this case, a car wash is the junction as director Michael Schultz strings comic set pieces together featuring well-known comedians and some new faces. Joel Schumacher wrote the script (he's since gone on to direct A Time to Kill and Batman Forever), and while the jokes don't exactly fly, the performers are fun to watch and the scenario is like fickle weather: if you don't like a particular scene, wait a second and a new one will be right along. The DVD release has a full-screen presentation, optional French and Spanish subtitles, English captions, and Dolby sound. --Tom Keogh

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - It's only full screen!
As noted...yep... once again these classics butchered... it's cut and only full screen... despite that it says 1.85:1 on Amazon... even the back of the box say 1.33:1 Full Screen.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Still just as funny
I haven't seen this movie since it came out in theatres. It is still just as funny today. My kids (teenagers) also thought it was funny.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Several scenes deleted or cut short
Several scenes were either left out or chopped in this version. The bickering couple running the hamburger stand next to the lot was cut out.
The end of the scenes of the son of the owner saying good bye to the employees and the receptionist finding out the customer she thought she had a date with was actually setting her up with a buddy, were chopped off. I missed them and thought they were important.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Bad choice
Once again I've got disappointed with the service Amazon provided me.
Although I have bought the product and followed all the instructions, for some unknown reason the product arrived at the destinatio delayed and my friend, who was supposed to receive it, had already left the hotel.
Considering that I live in Brazil - quite far from you - you can imagine how frustrated I got when I realized i would not watch the DVD.
So far i have not received any reimburse for my purchase, delivered ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - CAR WASH
LOVED IT! BROUGHT BACK MEMORIES FROM HIGH SCHOOL WHEN THIS MOVIE FIRST CAME OUT. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO ANYBODY THAT GREW UP IN THE 70'S.
