Kids may enjoy the slapstick of this modern reworking of the old Our Gang comedies, but parents who grew up watching them on TV (or grandparents who saw them at theaters) will wonder why anyone would want to be involved in this pathetic remake. Directed by Penelope Spheeris, the film takes look-alike kids and casts them as Spanky, Alfalfa, Buckwheat, and the rest, minus any sense of what made the old Hal Roach comedies funny. Instead of kids being kids, these are kids doing shtick while recycling such old bits as the He-Man Woman Haters Club, the kids' go-cart race, and Spanky and Alfalfa dressing as girls. I would not recomend this for any children, especially the very young. I was very upset when I played this in our van for my son who will be 3 in a couple months. The entire movie is about hateing and name calling. My son started saying some of it. I don't remember the origional show being like that. If you are a mom that wants your kid to grow up a nice young man then do not get this movie. I don't want him to see stuff like this cause he learns to act that way and of course he loves this movie. ... Read More

I really enjoyed watching The Little Rascals when I was a kid. Now my kids can this one. My son really likes this movie. He even does the Hi sign.
