Disney does Dickens in this animated version of Oliver Twist, in which a homeless New York City cat falls in with a bunch of mischievous dogs under the leadership of the appealing scoundrel Fagin. The roots of Disney's success with animation in the '90s begins with this clever, energetic, atmospheric movie, which succeeds in capturing the grim world Dickens conjured. Rating:  - This is the only movie i've ever seen in the theatre a second time immediatly after it was finished
Just to put this all in context...i was 5 years old, living on Long Island NY (where Billy Joel is from) and this movie was absolute magic to me. Maybe it was because it was set in New York City, maybe it was because Billy Joel (a hometown hero) was the voice of one of the main characters and sang a great song. Who knows. All i know is that me and my sister begged my father to see it again as soon as it was finished and he gave in (which was unusual for him). So pretty much this movie is like chistmas ... Read More

This movie is a good addtion to our movie collection, it is one that has been on my daughter list of movie to buy for years now and it is a great buy through Amazon. Good wholesome entertainment.

This is only the second best animated film of all time in my opinion the first being "The Lion King".I love everything about it the music,the characters,the story, it's the best!!!!!!!
