Rating: - Not what I was expecting, but enjoyable
This is your typical Lucille Ball. She is a terrific actress and comedianne. I agree with other reviewers, put this on DVD! The movie is a bit slow at first, but gets better and better as it progresses. My favorite part is when they are on the ship with the diamonds, except for the banana spiders... You will not be disappointed with this one if you love Lucy. It's just another testament to Lucy's prowess to dominate the comedy world.
Rating: - Good but disappointing ending
This was a great Lucille Ball movie and I love Lucille Ball. I wish they would show it on TV or make it into a DVD. The only problem was that the ending was disappointing. It just left the viewer hanging. However, I did enjoy it and would love to purchase it in DVD.
Rating: - A DELIGHT FOR LUCY FANATICS.
Made just before her foray into television immortality, Lucy plays Sally Elliot, a door-to-door salesgirl who gets herself unintentionally involved with murder. Rating: - Pure Ball
This movie is like The Naked Gun movie, but in 1950! I could not believe how funny and different it was compared to all of the dramatic movies before it during that era. This movie kept my whole family laughing throughtout the entire video. This is definitely worth buying!!!!!!
Rating: - A Preview of "Lucy Lunacy"
Not a classic comedy in any sense of the word, this film is noteworthy for its zaniness and comedic excellence of the one-and-only Miss Ball. The end "chase" is so hilarious, actually reminiscent of a Three Stooges-bit, only FUNNY, that I was simultaneously laughing and crying.
