Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Love this flick!
This is one of my favorite movies from the '80s. Kristy is great, Michael is great. The soundtrack with ABBA and OXO really liven up the scenes. Why in the world is this not on DVD?? Really doesn't make sense when there is plenty of junk being put on DVD every day instead.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Beautiful Love Story.
This was one of the cutest movies I've seen in along time. I enjoyed this movie. It's a beautiful love story.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Could've Been Better
I like Kristy McNichol's acting, but this movie was boring. There just isn't enough depth to any given character or scene for the viewer to connect with the movie in any way.

The dance scene where Kristy and Patrick Cassidy dance is suppose to "symbolize" the main character loosening up. Instead, it's just goofy dancing to bad music, even for 1984 standards.

I think the actors did their best with the material they were given. Sorry Kristy, it just wasn't enough.

She uses this cast to make the world forget she has a leg brace due to a childhood illness. The movie does a great job at showing how the world treats her differently once they don't realize she is differently abled. Very 80's and no wonder, that's when it was filmed. The soundtrack is one of the lesser dated ones, due to all the Abba ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Inspiring Comedy/Drama
An excellent movie for any person who wishes he/she could hide or disguise a physical disability or abnormality. The storyline never seems to drag in this film, and the content as well as the concept of the plot keeps you interested from the beginning. Although this movie was not a blockbuster, it still has what it takes to leave you feeling good at the end. This movie will make you think about how differntly some people can be treated when in fact they are really no different than anyone else. I have ... Read More
