Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - THE GREATEST MOVIE EVER!
What can you say about summer that this movie hasn't? The true test of a classic is how it holds up over time and 20 years later this movie strikes the same chords it did when I was a child. From the sarcastic nerdy kid to the overbearing psychotic tour guide and all their differences. This movie proves that even something like attempted murder can be overcome and true bonding can take place.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - White Water Summer
My wife and I first saw this movie on TV. We enjoyed it so we decided to buy it. White Water Summer is what I would call a sleeping thriller. It creeps up slowly and grabs your attention just when you think it is just another flick. Kevin Bacon is his usual scary self, Mr Nice Guy, until he is out in the wild with his young charges, then seems to be nasty to the smallest boy of the group. (A young Sean Astin.) Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great Movie!
I just love this movie because of the simple fact that you can watch it over and over and never get tired of it! It's really one of the classic 80's movies.......maybe not the most popular, but who really cares? If you want to watch a movie filled with plot, adventure, scenery and everything else in between, then purchase the DVD!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - It's Just A Fun Flick To Watch
"White Water Summer" cannot be accused of being a great film. It's got its silly moments, unbelievable moments, and downright psychotic moments. My wife first introduced me to this film a few years ago and ever since that time, I've never been able to pass it up when it's on the satellite. It's just fun to watch and reminds me of a cool time in my life (that being the 80's).

It stars a young Kevin Bacon and an even younger Sean Astin. Both are excellent in their roles. Bacon must ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - LEONARD MALTIN GOT THIS ONE WRONG!!!
I FIRST WATCHED THIS MOVIE WHEN IT WAS ORIGINALLY RELEASED BACK IN MY HEYDEY AND I RECENTLY PICKED UP A COPY FOR FIVE BUCKS. WORTH EVERY LAST PENNY. A VERY ENJOYABLE, INTENSE, ACTION AND DRAMA ROLLED INTO ONE! HAS TERRIFIC SCENERY (MANY OF THE OUTDOOR SCENES FILMED IN SPECTACULAR NEW ZEALAND), GOOD ACTING, A GREAT INTENSE STORY. I WAS NEVER BORED AND I REALLY LIKED THE SEAN AUSTIN CHARACTER. KEVIN BACON EXCELLENT TOO AS A NAZI-LIKE CAMP LEADER!!! MORE A CHARACTER STUDY THAN ANYTHING, WITH NICE CAMERA ... Read More
