The classic moral/horror tale is to finally be released on DVD by Warner Home Video. The story has a Jekyl and Hyde type quality with Dorian making a wish after his portrait is painted that he will remain eternally young while his portrait grows old. George Sanders plays Dorian's "friend", Lord Henry Wotton, who tempts Dorian to live a life of debauchery. Sanders was born to plays such roles. I grew up with this film, please release this on DVD, THis is one of the greatest films ever made why is it not on DVD!!!

All the life and demonic intelligence has been drained from the story. Leave it to Hollywood.
The exaggerated grotesqueness of the portrait is a terrible lapse of directorial judgment.

What's that spell? DVD! I agree with all of the positive reviews of this film. It has been voted by the AFI as one of the top 100 thillers of all time so why not release this excellent film on DVD. Here is my vote!
