Editorial Review:
Amazon.com: And the hits just keep on coming. Sylvester Stallone, who can't seem to draw flies unless he's playing Rocky Balboa or John Rambo, went back to the Rambo well (or septic system, as it were) to show his well-known solidarity with the Afghan freedom fighters who battled the Soviet army in the 1980s. This time it's personal: his handler, Richard Crenna, is captured by the Evil Empire and so it's up to Rambo to leave his work in a monastery in Southeast Asia (oh, puh-leeze) in order to rescue him from the Ruskies. Ever wonder why the Russians had such a miserable time in Afghanistan? It was because Rambo took them on single-handed and kicked their hammer-and-sickle heinies all the way back to Moscow. Cartoonish action, taken ever so seriously by Stallone, who was working desperately to scrape away the unsightly wax buildup from his reputation. --Marshall Fine

Rating: - Makes Rambo II look like "Apocalypse Now"
This is one silly film. It has such daft gunfghts that you long for the realism of Buck Rogers.
Passes the time, don't expect luxuries like plot or characters, though.
Rating: - Great Movie, Horrible Edition
Rambo III was a great deal better than Rambo II, but of course, not as good as First Blood. It's a great action picture and you'll never see Stallone as big as he was in this movie. He had to be taking Human Growth Hormone then. In some scenes it almost looks like there's a slight deformity in his face, which as I understand it, is one possible side effect of taking HGH. I remember when I was a kid, I saw this movie in the theater many times. The ultimate edition, unfortunately, sucked. For some ... Read More
Rating: - Good movie. Worth buying.
This a good movie but it's not as good as Rambo (4), that one's the best.
I give it an 8.5/10
Rating: - Who are you? Your Worst Nightmare
On the heels of the extremely enjoyable Rambo (Special Edition + Digital Copy) Sid the Elf decided to finally review Rambo III. Also, due to the recent oppresive heat wave that has crashed upon the North Pole, Sid halucinated and thought he was in an Afghan desert, so Rambo III just felt right. However, while First Blood (Special Edition) and Rambo: First Blood, Part 2 were clearly good enough to recieve 5 stars from Sid, Rambo III fell short. Please note that we're talking about the movie here, not ... Read More
Rating: - RAMBO III
Stallone returns in RAMBO III trying to rescue a friend behind enemy lines.
This movie is a roller coaster of non stop action.
Stallone as a one man army goes in and takes out the enemy
gets his friend and gets out of dodge.
They are about to the border and the Russian army catch up with them and
you think Rambo is done for, and the Afghanistan rebels arrive.
They win the battle with the help of the rebels.
I rate this movie a 8 from 1to10!!
