Rating: - Im glad I did not pay for this book - a compilation of data from other sources
Rubin seems to advocate a Kosher diet - there is nothing wrong with the cloven hoof in modern times - all animals raised for food today are "fed" feed - like corn or pellets - swine do not forage for food in farmer browns trash - nor are they fed trash, ( except of course - China where all factory farmed animal are fed trash and even human fecal matter). I really enjoyed reading Jordan's book Perfect Weight. It is very informative and I learned a great many things about what you should and should not eat. I have been a fan of Jordan's since reading his book "Patient Heal Thyself". He is one of most positive and honest people that I know, and will always use his products
Rating: - Book is a Rip-Off
Given Mr. Rubin's civil judgement against him and Garden of Life a couple of years ago, this book's appearance is no surprise - particularly since it is a blatant advertisement for Garden of Life products. While I acknowledge that eating closer to the way nature made it is certainly better for my health, there are aspects of Mr. Rubin's plan in this book which ended up making me feel worse and I believe were detrimental to my health. Purchase Sally Fallon's book Nourishing Traditions. Same principle and most of the recipes come from this book.

Nothing new here except for Fucoxanthin. Stay away from processed foods, sugars, and so on. I've read the book, generally followed the diet, taken the supplements, and consistently feel much better (energy, focus, mood, vitality and so on) than when I started. We cheat here and there, so the weight hasn't fallen off. The supplements are super and reasonably priced. We're a single income household of 8, so we know about budgeting and food cost.
