Product Description:
Often Christians feel saved from the ultimate penalty for their sins, but not from the persistent pain of regret. The long-lasting consequences of bad decisions leave many feeling perpetually out of God's will and unable to move forward into freedom and productivity. Getting Past Your Past is the antidote to the kind of regret that can stall us spiritually and bind us up in emotional pain. Susan Wilkinson lights a clear path out of this prison with six steps, including understanding and truly embracing grace; learning to forego secrets and live authentically; and grieving old dreams and dreaming new ones. This wise, heartfelt book offers strong spiritual and emotional resolution of regret by focusing on the sovereignty and unmerited kindness of God, who alone can restore the peace we've sometimes lost.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - No Regrets- An alternative to the kind of sorrow that leads to death
I sent a copy to a friend in Tennessee last year, and that one copy made a positive impact on three people. When last I heard, the third reader was about to pass it along to one of her friends. The book has a lot to offer because the perspective is so different from the typical "self-help" genre. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Thank God for Susan Wilkerson
Best book I ever read. It changed my life completely and I know I will never be the same again.
God ought to be proud he has such an intelligent person in his camp like Susan Wilkerson. Hope her next book will be as good as this one was. I only wish I could buy a hundred copies to give to my friends and family members.
God sure did give the author of this book a lot of talent, and I sure hope that he appreciates what he has.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Same old rehash
This kind of book as been done already time and time again by more experienced writers. Nothing new to be had here.
I had read previous reviews of this book before I bought it, apparently by a few close personal friends of the writer.
It seems a shame that the book market is being over flooded these days by self help books by so called experts. It's even a bigger shame when these experts use their religious beliefs and faith in God to cash in on a popular trend.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent!
Susan Wilkinson does a splendid job showing people how to overcome the past and give them a bright hope for the future. She uses her own past regrets and those of her friends as examples of how regret can be a strong hold on your life. Then with examples from the Bible she shows ways out of the guilt of past mistakes by showing that God is in complete control of all circumstances of our lives, good as well as bad. This book will help any one who has ever experienced guilt due to sin, failures, and mistakes. ... Read More
