I read this book in two days. I had not heard much of what was in the book before. I was shocked by some of the information about Todd Bentley. It caused me to search for more information about him on YouTube and what I saw there was even worse (very sick people being physically attacked by him!) Some of my dear friends have been caught up in this false ministry, so I intend to share this info with them.

After Strom had attended a prophetic Conference in Kansas City, he describes what he seen going on there - was so disturbing, pagan, and ungodly that he left the Prophetic Movement. He believes that the movement is dominated by a spirit of divination and fortune-telling, that it is beyond reform. It is a movement that Majors on: Manifestations, portals, and weird visitations, and that it more closely resembles -what is seen in the new age movement then anything resembling Christianity. Rating:  - Good information, but the author isn't trustworthy
I bought "Why I Left the Prophetic Movement" because of questions I've had in regards to teachings, etc.,..in the charismatic Christian Community. I found MR. Strom's information to be very helpful, but sadly I found out Mr. Strom is doing & teaching what he's writing against in his book. I have put this book on my personal: "Don't Read" list for a newsletter I write for friends.

By condemning the "prophetic movement" you use a broad stroke of the pen to condemn a restorational movement in which God Himself trained people in every country and almost every Spirit filled church in the entire world to hear the voice of God and speak forth with unction. Your tiny exposure to a very few men who have attempted their best to hear and speak God's word does not justify your broad attack of the "Prophetic Movement" by name.
