Ask anyone who the top two comic companies are these days and they'll reply with the same answer, "Marvel Comics and DC Comics." That is about to change for the second time.
In the early nineties Valiant Comics arrived onto the scene and quickly shot to the top of the comic book world. They weren't little competition to the companies who published books like Spider-Man or Batman - they were direct rivals who ruled the land with titles like Harbinger, Bloodshot, and X-O Manowar.

Rating: - Great Graphic Novel
I had always heard how great the Valiant stories are but had never tried them before this year. I'm not a huge fan of action but after reading Harbinger: The Beginning I was excited about X-O Manowar. My boyfriend gave me a copy and I have to say I really enjoyed it. The story is realistically done and has some really interesting ideas. The main character is sympathetic and you really feel for the problems he has. Of all the original Valiant titles, X-O Manowar was my favorite. Other titles such as Harbinger and Solar got a lot of press for laying the foundation of the Valiant Universe (as well as high demand for early issues), but X-O was certainly the more action-oriented title, and the premise was brilliant.
