Rating: - Bizarro Orgy of Sex and Violence
In the author's introduction to this novel, he states that it is a book that is "all just sex. It is not porn, not erotica, but all sex."
He couldn't be more right.
PROS: It is a novel full of perversity, sexual body-horrors, and excessive use of the C-word. As with all of CM3's work, the imagery is excellent. Rating:  - Razor Wire Pubic Hair
This is definately an absorbing book. It's an easy read, too. I read it in about an hour. I don't recommend this book to anyone who's a Jesus freak, it's very anti-religion. Mostly anti-God and such. I'm not very religious, but some images were disturbing. It's very wierd and extremely sexual but in a masochistic, satanic way. Not Carlton Mellick's best, but still good.

This book is not for everyone. I like CM3 for some reason that i am sure a psychiatrist could figure out. What i got from this book was man's obsession with sex and how it ultimatly undoes the world. Keep freaking me out Carlton.
Rating: - Sexy freakfest
This book is really really strange, and by strange I mean good. I don't even know where to begin describing this book. Maybe I would say that it is a messed up s&m dark fantasy coming of age story. This book has some creepy, sick, sexual, gross, beautiful and utterly intriguing parts to it.
You have to be an open minded person to enjoy this book. I wouldn't let your mom read it. I might tell my friends that I absolutely loved it, but I would feel dirty telling them why.
