Rating: - Mortal Kombat at it's... almost best.
Mortal Kombat Annihilation, putting the competitive context of the movie aside, is an overall average book. Since it was never said whether the book was based on the video game or the original storyline, I will have to judge it as a regular fan of Mortal Kombat in general. The plus sides were the things put into the book that were missing from the original, such as Sub-Zero and Scorpion actually fighting eachother, instead of teaming up to fight off the good guys. It was a good book. It didn't follow all of the elements of the games correctly, but all in all, it was pretty good.
