Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A heroine of the Jewish people
The story of Hannah Senesh is the story of a heroine of the Jewish people. This volume contains her diary including a record of her early years in Hungry and her time in Eretz Yisrael, two chapters about her by her mother, and chapters by fellow soldiers in the British Army from the Yishuv who served with her when they were dropped behind enemy lines during the War. Hannah Senesh was the daughter of a well- known Hungarian playwright who died when she was six. She and her older brother were raised ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Deeply moving, incredible woman and her book
I agree one hundred percent with the review posted above. I have just spent the last night up until 5 a.m. reading Hannah Senesh's diary, letters and poems. Her life, her personality, her emotional, truthful, soul-revealing writing is so human, so stirring...a story that you will never forget, that will haunt you and inspire you. Hannah Senesh was a hero that should never be forgotten. She is a personality you will never forget. I strongly urge publishers to keep this book in print. IT MUST ... Read More

As an adult, I find her story is more powerful and inspiring than Anne Frank's. I believe that it would be extremely powerful reading for teens also. We must not allow Hannah's sacrifice and her poetry ... Read More
