I have used this book for several semesters in an introductory course. The book has plenty of flash, so much flash that it is distracting from the content. The colors and placement of the illustrations make it difficult for one's eye's to track the text; most of them do not add functionality to the text. This book is really good! It shows the new user how to start on a computer. The book goes through all the finite details without getting the reader confused on the book.
